Transformational Leadership In Health Care
Health care firms are challenged with delivering value when it comes to the quality of health care and its access. Many Americans often do not get the care they need even though the United States spends more money for each individual on health care than any other country. Some health physician’s delivery poor quality care leaving many patients not receiving the medically necessary care. Preventive care is underutilized, resulting in increased spending on advanced diseases. Patients like myself with chronic diseases such as hypertension, heart disease, and diabetes all too often do not receive effective care when needed.
The terms leader and manager are sometimes used conversely. An individual can be a manager but not have many leadership skills.

Understanding the difference between the two leadership styles is crucial for anyone pursuing a career at administration level. Transformational leadership goes further than managing daily processes by focusing on team-building, motivation and teamwork with employees at different levels to accomplish change to improve the organization, as well as setting goals and incentives to push employees to higher performance levels, while providing opportunities for personal and professional growth (Breevaart, Bakker, Hetland, Demerouti, Olsen, & Espevik, 2014). A Transformational leadership presence is vital in health care. An example of Transformational leadership in health is trustworthiness between management and employees or employees and patients. Trust issues leads to disorganization, confusion, and fear amongst employees and patients. This is why it's vital for transformational leaders to lead by example and to gain the trust of their employees and patients. Transformational leaders produce improved employee and patient satisfaction by promoting a healthy environment for employees and patients (Breevaart, Bakker, Hetland, Demerouti, Olsen, & Espevik,
