Twin Studies Essay

If I was a criminologist, I would focus on the development of the brain of different people, as well as twin studies, the different types of body builds and even heredity genes that run throughout family lines. I know it would take a lot of research to develop these hypothesis of what I can focus on to see what makes people commit crimes. The development of the brain can show many characteristics. Then we could look into twin studies of things and look more into people hereditary genes.
The brain is a key factor to the human body, it controls what you are thinking, movement and behavioral patterns. For an example from this video we watched in class, this many did a cat scan of his brain and he notice that he had a brain of a serial killer, but he doesn’t do any harm to people or his family. From that conclusion I look at it as maybe morals are the reason why he hasn’t harmed anyone, but being respectful can come into play because you were taught from right and wrong. Most scientist concludes that twins are more likely to commit crimes because of gene traits, since they share the same traits. I kind of Condon that statement can be false because I know people that are twins and never committed a crime, but then again it’s based on their behavior and environment they live in. I can say that I observe a lot of things in life and majority of people that commits a crime, either had a rough life and wasn’t taught morals that would make them think twice about a decision. I know the word moral pops up a lot, because it is a tradition passed down from generation from generation depending on the family you grow up with.
