Taxes are crucial for government funding, but many citizen are not content with the progressive taxation form. Democrats fully support this tax form of taxing high income recipients a higher tax percentage than lower income recipients. Republicans endorse a flat tax. They believe all citizens should be taxed the same tax. To further assist workers the Democrats push for higher minimum wages in hopes of stimulating a decrease in unemployment. Republicans are advocators to big business, so they believe in keeping the minimum wage low for business benefit. Democrats believe the government should provide the constituents with structure and order while dealing with domestic and foreign trades for maximum consumer and producer protection. Republicans believe government should intervene only when absolutely necessary. Government involvement in the Republican viewpoint only restricts free market capitalism. Military funding is an ongoing battle. There is always a dispute on whether to increase or decrease spending. Democratic doves suggest a decrease in military spending. Abortion, death penalty, health care policy, gay rights and immigration are small selections that have recently been mentioned in political debates. A woman's right to her own body is the motivating and argumentative factor for the pro-choice Democrats. Pro Life Republicans believe it is morally wrong and unjust to terminate a life. On the subject of life termination Democrats oppose the death penalty. Republicans support the termination of a criminal's life. Democrats endorse a government involved universal health care system.They promote programs like Medicare, Obama Care and Medicaid, because of the beneficial effect for citizens. Republicans argue in favor of private healthcare. Republicans claim a private company can provide health care systems more effectively than the government. Democrats believe everyone is entitled to being treated equally despite their sexual preferences. This is why they believe homosexuals should be able to get married and adopt. Republicans have opposing assessment in terms of gay rights. They believe that marriage is only to be in between one male and one female, and adopting children should not be allowed. Overall, both parties what is best for the country as a whole. Although they have opposing strategies for the improvement of the United States’ economy the end goal is the same. Have all Americans working and spending money. Military presence is viewed differently by each party. Whether or not the military is physically in the Middle East everyone agrees that the protection of the American citizens is the ultimate goal. Everyone is entitled to have and voice their opinion it is explicitly stated in the constitution .

The Democratic Party is best suited for citizens who believe a strong central government the people can look toward in time of need. Democrats attach greater importance to equality and social and community responsibility. The Republican Party is best suited for those would desire a lesser involved government. They prefer personal responsibility in government. Democrats are the workers voice, while republicans are the voice of big business.
