Section 1 Advertising is a form of communication intended to persuade an audience to purchase or take some actions upon product ideas or services. It is often known as the key to succession many firms because it helps s to boost revenue for many firms. Therefore a research will be carried out in this assignment to find out the relationship between profit and advertising in a sample of nine firms. STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM The annual profits for the nine firms depend on the level of advertising a firm had. It is important firms to study closely the relationship between profits and advertising and to see whether this method works or not. PURPOSE The goal of this research is to map the relationship between advertising and profitability amongst the nine firms. SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY The overall study of this research is important because it tells us how important advertising is in most firms. The accomplishment of this study will benefit students who have limited skills on the importance of advertising. RESEARCH QUESTION AND HYPOTHESIS The research question will be: Is there a significant relationship between profitability and advertising among firms?

So by looking at it, authors came to a conclusion saying that advertising is an independent variable because it is not influenced by other factors. Profit and advertising goes hand in hand as one is the dependent of the other.
