Then i get my clothes on, and go into the living room. Then i turn on the tv and fix my breakfast, and i watch some tv. At 6:15 i get my brother up, and my sister up. I would not be able to bare the news of living for a remaining time of 365 days. First, I would announce it to my family members and loved ones. We would then plan out our days so we can spend as much time together. I would announce it only to my family so they can prepare themselves for what is coming, my death. I would leave bank accounts for both of my nephews so they could afford to attend a school of their choice. I would purchase a mansion for my mother in the Dominican Republic so she could quit her job and live happily with a monthly allowance. I would buy a flight for my father and I to Cuba so we can both travel back to his home country together. My father would then demonstrate where he used to live when he resided there. We would…

Psychedelic and surreal art are all about imagination. Although psychedelic art is know to be connected to drugs, it’s very interesting. Just take a pinch of surreal visuals, highly distorted illustrations and bright colors with full spectrums to delineate this specific concept. Animation and cartoons are also a big part of surreal and psychedelic art. Additionally, metallic foils and mixed media create a sense of “altered consciousness” as well.…

College is about making memories, both good and bad. The University of South Alabama is a dry campus, which means that there are no alcoholic beverages allowed in your dorm room or at any event on campus. Even though the legal age for consuming alcohol is twenty-one students still participate in underage drinking. The legal age to smoke tobacco products in the state of Alabama is nineteen and at least fifty percent of the students at the University of South Alabama smoke tobacco products under age. So why should we continue to be a dry campus?…

College and drinking have gone hand in hand for years. Whether it’s Spring weekend, celebrating the big game, or a Thursday night party, alcohol seems to bere the center of many social events. Because of this, my purpose is to promote moderate drinking on campus versus a dry campus, which is one where there is no alcohol drinking permitted on campus even for those students over the age of 21. Since all of us or someone we know, will be attending college, this is important information to know while making the decision about which college to go to.…

I remember the day well. I was just finished with school for the year and sitting on the front step, the top half of me laying back on the porch, just staring. I was thinking about the small house my mother worked so hard for us to get and keep. We lived in row housing just outside Juneau Alaska. All of the houses were small and I always thought to myself, “Is this the life I am destined for?” My mind wondered as I looked up at the clouds and squinted because of the sun.…
