The Orioles and Ravens are similar but yet not so similar after all. The two teams show comparison because both of the teams play in Maryland, there stadiums are right across the street from each other, they are both professional leagues , both have dye heart fans, has had there fare shares of wins and losses. The Orioles have been around in Maryland as there baseball team since 1954. The Orioles went to the World Championships in 1966, 1970, 1983. The Ravens have been around a little over then 13 years as Maryland’s football team but seem to have a bigger fan base then the Orioles. Also the Ravens have only one the super bowl once in 2000. Another similar trait that the Ravens and the Orioles have is that both of their mascot’s our birds.…

When most high school seniors graduate, they plan on immediately attending college to better their lives. The goal is to get a successful job that will pay enough to provide for the needs, and most of the wants of life. Unfortunately, the great cost of attendance at most universities leaves many students scratching their heads about how they will pay for the better future they desire. Some dig into their life savings, some receive scholarships, and most apply for student loans. But are student loans truly a good idea? Will the load of debt most acquire from student loans help deliver the grand future most students dream of, or will it actually hinder their chances of getting a job, and therefore make college, and their decision to be up to their ears in debt, a huge mistake? The article, End U.S. Student Loans, Don 't Make Them Cheaper, by Richard Vedder says that student loans will do more harm than good, while Jordan Weissmann 's article, More Student Debt, Please: Why College Students Don 't Borrow Enough, takes a positive approach to student loans. While both pieces offer reasoned points, only one can have more validity, but which one?…
Flowers are those plants intentionally cultivated in the garden while weeds are those who come in uninvited. Weeds are competitors of the cultivated plants stealing water, nutrients and sunlight from the flowers. It may sound simple, but weeds, like beauty, are in the eye of the beholder. What some gardeners consider unwanted weeds, others consider wildflowers. Although weeds and flowers may seem very different, the two are quite similar. For example, the similarities between flowers and weeds are, they grow on the ground, they both have flowers (in some weeds), and they both pollinate by female and male flowers and weeds. The differences between flowers and weeds are, weeds are hard to pull out of the ground and flowers are easily pulled.…

In Vincent van Gogh’s painting it can be appreciated the few combinations of colors he used. He basically made used of black, blue, yellow, and white. However, he was able to make a great contrast. For example, he contrasted fairly well in the dark sky toward the bright moon and stars. Additionally, he used mostly organic shapes. On the other hand, in Henri Matisse’s painting, it can be appreciated a greater variation of contrasting colors. As an illustration, he placed a yellow flower base which contrasts with the surrounding red and blue items. Furthermore, he does not only used organic shapes. In fact, he made a great contrast between organic shapes on the woman’s body and geometric shapes on the background.…

In the movie Finding Forrester, there are many ways to look at the similarities and differences but I’m going to focus specifically on Professor Crawford and William Forrester. These two characters have the same passion, which is writing but have different successes with it, viewpoints, and expectations for their students. Each one of them has their own story, though they actually appear to have started out in the same direction or on the same path, they ended up venturing into two different directions with their love for writing.…
