1.1. Explain the functions of assessment in learning and development:
In this assessment the Assessor is aware that the assessment is taking place in an environment where the clients are having learning difficult .The age group is post 18 years .
During the initial assessment, I the assessor wil introduce myself to the learner’s and ensure that they understand what the course is. The role of the assessor is to explain all the units to the learner’s and support them in choosing the most suitable units. The assessor and the candidate must then decide on an assessment plan. This will include setting dates and times to meet with the learner’s ’s ability, consideration will be provided with regards to date and time, as the learner’s s have learning difficult and may need short breaks, will be told to them that they can ask for it or as an Assessor I will have to observe that the learner’s needs are met.
