Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment
1.1. Explain the functions of assessment in learning and development:

In this assessment the Assessor is aware that the assessment is taking place in an environment where the clients are having learning difficult .The age group is post 18 years .

During the initial assessment, I the assessor wil introduce myself to the learner’s and ensure that they understand what the course is. The role of the assessor is to explain all the units to the learner’s and support them in choosing the most suitable units. The assessor and the candidate must then decide on an assessment plan. This will include setting dates and times to meet with the learner’s ’s ability, consideration will be provided with regards to date and time, as the learner’s s have learning difficult and may need short breaks, will be told to them that they can ask for it or as an Assessor I will have to observe that the learner’s needs are met.

Agreeing on the best assessment methods for learner’s s with learning difficult.

Be being the Assessor may use observation, question the learner’s and examine their work. Given a feedback straight with a positive note , as mentioned the learner’s s requirement as a learner’s with learning difficult the best practice to give the feedback on ever stage based on the learner’s s moods and body language .Sometime this make not be correct so assessment method make change as per requirement. With agreement with the learner’s Based on the above the learner’s will submitted an assignment or evidence.
I the assessor must review it to ensure that the learner’s has done what was asked of them and to ensure that it is in line with the assessment criteria. I as an assessor then needs to provide the learner’s with feedback on how they have done. It is important for the assessor to be encouraging and give constructive feedback.
