In this paper I will examine and analyze the data regarding employee’s job satisfaction as it relates to gender. I have provided an interpretation of the extrinsic results for the three age groups, as well as I have given the results of the surveys regarding both qualitative measurement and quantitative measurement. I have discussed the results based the graphs that included in the paper; I have all so described the difference in the two types of variables. This paper covers the definitions of the standard deviation and variance.

A qualitative study or survey will focus more on the quality of information than quantity of information. Since the numbers of participants are smaller, the researcher can collect data with more details. A qualitative study will include demographic information such as gender and age. This data is important to determine information on certain age groups and gender groups versus a quantitative study that measures numbers, such as how many people in that group have job satisfaction regarding the data. In the age group 21 to 49 ten percent do not have extrinsic job satisfaction, twenty two percent are neutral and four percent has extrinsic satisfaction. In the age group 50 to 65 nine percent does not have extrinsic satisfaction, thirteen percent are neutral and only three percent are satisfied by extrinsic factors.
The standard deviation measures the range in a data set of numbers. It tells how on an average each of the values deviates from the mean. The standard deviation is arrived at by taking the square root of the variance. The variance is used in probability statistics and is the function that gives a foundation for comparing and interpreting
