P1/M1- Task 1: Understand different types of business information.

Verbal communications.
Telephone - Vodaphone uses there client database to access their mobile numbers which the vodaphone call center uses to call and text customers about current offers and details etc. They gather the information from marketing to advice the customers which an internal source but for vodaphone to require clients details the client must give them to vodaphone themselves so that is an external source. The purpose is to raise customers awareness of what the latest deals that vodaphone are offering.
Group discussions – vodaphone takes a group of customers and asks them for their feedback so they can evaluate and find out ways to update their services and improve them to keep the customers happy with their service. The information is coming from customer’s feedback which is an external source. The purpose of this is so that vodaphone can improve their services by listening to customer’s feedback.
Written communications.
Newspapers – vodaphone can advertise in newspapers which potential and existing customers would come across the latest deals and offers whilst reading the newspaper. The information that is advertised comes from the marketing department which is an internal source. The purpose of the information is to raise awareness of the latest deals vodaphone offers.
Letters- vodaphone can communicate with their clients by sending their clients letters which inform them for coming bills. The information comes from the personal database so it’s an internal source. To inform the customers on their bills and this is to try and insure that vodaphone receive bills on time so that business is profitable.
On–screen communications.
Presentations- with in the business the high ache can present a presentation to the former colleagues on customer’s feedback and future deals etc. the information comes from the customer which is an internal source but the new
