It is a dynamically growing company which employs at the moment 333000 persons all over the world.
Nestle is the world's leading nutrition, health and wellness company. Their mission of "Good Food, Good Life" is to provide consumers with the best tasting, most nutritious choices in a wide range of food and beverage categories and eating occasions, from morning to night.
Nestle is a worldwide company. So it faces multinational, multi-linguistic, and multicultural
Environments. Due to these different environments, there are likely to be conflicts between the headquarters and the foreign units of the Nestle regarding whether issues such as management style, decision making, and operations should be centralized at the headquarters or decentralized and adapted to local practices in the foreign units. The mentioned dilemmas have as a consequence that communication difficulties within Nestle s are nothing extraordinary .
The simple fact that there are physical distances among the sub units complicates clear and effective communication. No longer is it possible to meet the colleagues over a cup of coffee and discuss different issues face-to-face; instead new and efficient solutions mustbe found. Apart from the physical distance, there are likely to be other factors that complicate the achievement of an effective internal communication within Nestle. Hence, it is of great importance that the Nestle company puts time and effort into analyzing the internal communication in order to be aware of barriers that might exist in their internal communication.
