Untrustworthy Relationships
September 11, 2011
Trustworthy
Recently in life one has experienced having an untrustworthy boyfriend. Speaking with many freshman females every other female in a relationship has almost the same issues dealing with trusting one another. Being together two years trust has been our biggest issue. One way to solve a problem due to trust issues is by always being one hundred percent honest and open about everything rather it be a small or large issue. Sometimes the smallest things can become a huge problem in a situation such as this. Like when going somewhere takes longer than average make sure to tell the other person you make a extra stop somewhere or whatever the reason is for being late. We always make sure to send one another a text if we are suspecting to be late to meet one another and a simple explanation why. A second way to help with a untrustworthy boyfriend is by never hiding anything or leaving any details out about a situation. For example, if one is being suspicious with texting on their phone or with something to do with Facebook be willing to show the other person in the relationship who you are talking to and what the conversation is about. My boyfriend is in the auto sales business so he always trucks for sale so there for there’s sometimes odd numbers in his phone. Another solution one has found to help is to know that sometimes not everything is a lie. In a relationship both partners need to understand that people make mistakes and sometimes they learn from it, sometimes not. As a hard headed person this is a issue one learned the hard way. When one thinks the other might be lying it helps to sit down and actually think it totally through before accusing someone of something. Sometimes accusing someone of something they haven't done makes an even bigger problem. In a relationship one has to learn that nothing is easy and honesty is the most important key. If you really want something to work you have to be willing to work for

Trust is an important thing, but it must also be understood that trust being broken is not always one’s fault. There are occasions where life takes unexpected turns that change everything. Friar Lawrence played a rather large role in the love of Romeo and Juliet. The thing that some call ‘fate’ left Romeo dead because information had not reached him. Friar was left to say, “A greater power than we can contradict Hath thwarted our intents” (Shakespeare Scene V Act 3). So there are times when promises and friendships can be broken because of events that are neither persons fault, so sometimes one must resort to mercy and understanding for broken trust. Romeo and Juliet shows this as well as it could possibly be…

Any relationship requires a lot of work for those involved and it must be continuous for the duration of the relationship. They are called partners because being in a relationship is very much a partnership. If one partner is not doing their share of the work, then a resentment will form. A relationship is really no different than a business relationship, if one is doing all the work while the other sits back and does nothing the business will eventually fail no matter how great the payoff. It…

You need to be careful with everyone you meet. Trust someone is something rare to do. Most of the time we avoid many people because we consider them to be suspicious, and this happens a lot when we meet someone new. You never know who is or what a person does for living. If we see someone who lives in luxury or know that he’s wealthy, we suppose that he is involved in drug dealing. You can’t even be confident in a party, you never know when the girl you met is related to a drug dealer.…

Trust is also known as the confidence one person places in another and it is the true foundation of a relationship, so much so that if it was not present the relationship would have a much greater chance of breaking apart. One of the seven ways that intimate relationships differ from casual relationships is trust because once it is understood that partners can trust each other the stability of the relationship and the intimacy increases. There are four types of attachment styles that coincide with trust that adults can have which are known as secure, preoccupied, fearful and dismissing. An attachment style can be established during childhood and leads out until you are an adult. In my own personal experience, I have a preoccupied attachment…

The only things that human beings need to survive in this world are: food, shelter, and relationships. Humans by nature cannot successfully exist on their own, for that reason they are instinctively inclined to crave relationships with others. Whether a relationship be romantic or strictly platonic, it is crucial that one develop a proper foundation before trusting wholeheartedly. The foundation of a relationship, much like any other type of foundation, protects it from threatening outside forces, such as people with malicious intentions, or simply the trials of life in general. There are a myriad of useful qualities that can make up said foundation, however, several important examples are: knowledge of a partner’s character, open communication…

In order to accomplish the goals of the research study and to address the gap in the authenticity literature in regards to romantic relationships, a longitudinal study will be utilized. This study will provide a better understanding of the relationship between authenticity and satisfaction in romantic relationships. More specifically, the researcher will examine participants at the formative stages of a romantic relationship in order to see if authenticity can predict the satisfaction over the course of the first six months of the relationship. Even though this design will not provide evidence of causality, the results can suggest a pathway for establishing a causal relationship in future research studies. The aim is to determine…

There are so many types of trust. Three type of trust are: trusting in a family member, trusting in someone special, and trusting in friends. With our family members, we have deep trust. They have been through everything with us and most of deep dark secrets. They have been there for us during the good times and the bad. They watched us go through elementary, middle and high school. Your family has been there to watch you mature and become the person you are today. We have deep trust with them because they took care of us when we were sick or needed someone to cry on. Since we tell them everything, we are the most attached to them. They know when we are acting strange or weird and can tell when we are sad or ecstatic. They share all kinds of memories with us and understand what and where we have been. We let family know almost everything about us. We go back to them when we have nowhere else to go. We trust them with our lives because we know no matter what, that they will…

Trust is like a mirror, once it is broken, it is never seen the same again, and that is the cost. No matter how hard you try to put it back together, the cracks are always visible. No one wants to be a liar, no one wants to be a dishonest person. One might presume that a person will lie because they want something they can’t have with the truth. Recalling back to my childhood, I was unable to be like other children where they were able to have fun, running, jumping, and screaming. Every moment of my life was monitored by my mom and I was required to report everything back to her. Gradually as I grew older, I became more independent and started to make decisions on my own, which led me to my first lie and disappointed my mom.…

I started to realize the importance of trust when I was very young. Going up and having my dad make me a promise after promise and then not following through with it has always been hard to deal with. After having so many promises broken I knew I couldn’t trust in my dad’s word. I love him dearly but our relationship as father and daughter is not one I always take seriously. When he tells me he is going to do something my response is “okay.” Its not just because of my dad of why I believe trust is so important.…

Trust is the very thing that everybody in this world desires, or at least should desire from one another. Who wants to have a friendship or relationship without trust? Nobody does. Without trust, there is no friendship, and without friendship, there is no love. I believe that trust is an even greater compliment than to be loved! I believe George Macdonald said it best when he stated "To be trusted is a greater compliment than to be loved." When I read this quote for the first time, I thought to myself, "Wow that is so true. How can you be loved if you are not trusted first?"…
