Value of Education Essay
Value of Post-High School Education Education is the most important quality to success. With education you can expand your knowledge and allow yourself to move forward and higher up in the socioeconomic system. Since I was a young girl I have always aspired to help others, in any way, shape or form. Being helpful and meaningful to others is something that I am very passionate about. To ensure that I follow through with my success and aspirations, I have decided that I will study Nursing at a four year university. I want to become a Registered Nurse with a Master’s of Science in Nursing, and eventually become a lactation consultant. Although it will take about six years, it will be worth it. I will have to start my freshman year taking General Ed courses based on the scores I receive on the universities’ placement tests. From there I will enroll in mostly Science courses, including Anatomy and Physiology, Biology, and Organic Chemistry, with a few Sociology and Psychology courses. After I understand the basics of the human body and how it functions, I will start taking courses to understand the effects on the human body in courses like Microbiology and Humanities. In my third and fourth years in college I will be studying the fundamentals of how to care for patients and explore the different situations nurses can work in. After I obtain my Bachelors of Science in Nursing, I would like to go to UC San Diego and work on getting my Masters in a specialization program that would allow me to specialize in lactation. This plan is perfect for me because it seems pretty straight forward and organized which will help me. A lactation consultant obtains several qualities and values that I obtain. They care a great deal about other people, they try to ensure that people are given the best they can have, and they are great teachers because of their experiences. My dream career is to be a lactation consultant and I will accomplish it no matter what complications or costs I run

The decision to go into health care was an easy decision for me. It started with the birth of my cusin, he was born premature. He weighed two pounds 13 ounces; he needed specialized care which was provided by neonatal nurses. Neonatal nursing is a relatively new specialty by comparison to adult health, midwifery, or other areas of nursing. Because it is new, there are great opportunities for nurses to devote their skills to newborns who need specialized care. Neonatal refers to the first 28 days of life. Neonatal care, as known in specialized nurseries or intensive care, has been around since the 1960's (AACN, 2010). I was in awe of how they cared for my cusin. When it was time for my cusin to be released I knew I wanted to be a nurse. With life you never know what is coming your way, I did not pursue the field because life happened got married and had three more children. I did not forget that I wanted to be a nurse just couldn’t get it in my grasp.…

just imagine yourself sitting in a classroom full of people all doing an essay in class. as the clock keeps ticking, people keep leaving until eventually there are only ten people in a class and 15 minutes remainding. Your stress level starts increasing and you start worrying more. the thing is, stress builds up gradually when you have more things to do. Moraine Valley does a great job of separating class hours however, there has been a lot controversies about Final taking.I believe that Com Finals should not be given in class due to the following reasons. Not only is it stressful to the individual, but it is also puts a lot of pressure knowing that your classmates are done. i believe essays should be done at home within a 24 hour period.…

When I started this program I was deciding between being a pediatrician or a pediatric nurse, but now that I have been through the program and had a chance to explore many different careers I have shifted between many different pathways in the medical field. As I transitioned from introduction to health to medical terminology, I found one career that I never knew existed, a neonatal nurse. As soon as i realized that you can work, let alone get payed to work with babies, there would be no questioning what I wanted…

Introduction: Henry Peter Broughan once said, "Education makes people easy to lead, but difficult to drive; easy to govern, but impossible to enslave." I believe that education is the key to a successful future. Sadly, I know how people underestimate the benefits of going to college. Tuition can be very costly, but in the end the benefits of education overshadow the tuition. Personally, I know that in the long run my family will benefit from me going to college and becoming a registered nurse. I did not have a role model growing up and I want to be the person my daughter looks up to in her life. There are many health care jobs that will get me some insight on being a registered nurse. Starting off as a certified nursing assistant or licensed…

I’m attending Monterey Peninsula college on a short-term basis Until I transfer to a four year university. Education in my family has never been an option and I have always been pushed to further my education. I myself value my education because it will enhance my knowledge of whatever career I decide to pursue. Learning in general to me has always been important, I love discovering things I’ve never been introduced to or heard of before. Like Dr. Seuss once said, “The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go”. I chose to attend MPC to explore my options and figure out what career I want to pursue. One of my short-term education goals is to get good grades in all of my classes this semester (my first semester of college) and to create my ideal career plan. A long-term goal of mine is to complete all of my…

Within ones early stages of life, our parents along with many other authority figures have instilled in us that education is the key to all success. One is taught to work hard in school, to study, and ultimately to get good grades in our early years of schooling to prepare us for what many see as the last step in our education, college. Education has made made freely available to our children at an equal opportunity and again has been instilled that it is the key to all success in life. Tom Luck the author of the poem “You Go to School to Learn,” bluntly states the harsh reality that one's education is provided to the extant of whatever skills that can be gained, to ensure them money. Tom Luck argues, “you’re taught away from poetry or, say, dancing (“That's nice, dear, but there's no dough in it”). So what are we teaching our children? What is the purpose of education? Several views are strongly debated. Many believe that the purpose of education in the dominant big-business view in which education means enabling one to be trained to work in a skillful workplace, at low wages, and then there is the view that education is more than learning a skill for a specific job, it is about teaching our children lifelong values, discipline, and the ability to explore new ideas and think independently. Those with the view that education is more, argue that education is key for building the critical abilities that are entailed for complicated human beings.…

Education should be one of the highest priorities of a country. Education serves the interests both of the modern state and individual. It serves the state by creating citizens with a common understanding of their identity that manifests itself as nationalism as well as an appreciation of rights and responsibilities. Also it serves the interests of individuals because it enables them to participate in the production of the modern world’s economy, politics and society. But lack of high quality and protective education for children in extreme settings stands in the way of meeting Education for All goals, of achieving durable solutions and of sustainable development of a country. Extreme setting means physical and emotional disruption, climate…
