I did, however notify my friends of the tormenting. Then we watched the harassment single out from a whole group to one main perpetrator. It was a girl I had many classes with, and a person my friends knew about. They didn’t like her. And I didn't come to either. Then, the bullying progressed. After a while, we all came to an agreement and knew that this problem was much more threatening than us. We all decided to go to the school counselor.
I joined my friends to visit the counselor. But, the bully’s words from that morning were echoing in my head. “So, Jordan, how’s the hate club going?” She’d picked up on our idea to go and tell the school counselor from a friend of hers. She caught my evading and beet red face and took her story as the true one. We weren’t starting a hate club for anyone. We were just defending ourselves. But the trip to the counselor went by quicker than I imagined. After we made our case to her, she told us that she’d help us.
More time passed. The bully was brought to speak to the counselor. There was even one occasion where it was open to go into the guidance office to speak to the bully. Out of fear, I didn’t go. But after all the counseling sessions, my friends and I saw no changes whatsoever. Meanwhile, something was creeping up on me, like a tabby cat after a laser
