Solar power is not an entirely reliable source of power as it relies on the availability of the sun, however, using solar power to run some of the smaller, non-essential items would reduce the use of electricity generated by fossil fuels.
Solar panels can be installed on the roof using tilt frames and facing as closely to north as possible to maximise their efficiency.
Where roof mounted panels are not possible a dedicated solar powered hot water system would reduce the use of traditional electric or gas systems. …show more content…
Where a piece of equipment comes in several styles with various energy ratings installing equipment with a higher energy rating means the business will use electricity more efficiently.

1. The use of chemicals in animal care facilities could become an environmental issue.
These chemicals, if not disposed of properly, can contaminate the ground and waterways, causing damage to plants, animals and their eco-systems.
Noise pollution caused by excited or stressed animals is not just an issue for human neighbours, but also for any wildlife that may exist nearby.
2. Radiation Control Regulation 2013. This affects the use of radiation, such as in x-rays, to prevent damage to the environment and people from exposure.
Poisons and Therapeutic Goods Regulation 2008. This affects the prescription and proper use of chemicals that if used incorrectly could cause harm to the environment.
3. To comply I would ensure that there are monitors in place to measure the level of radiation exposure. I would also make sure that any issues with an x-ray machine is tended to by an authorised technician and that any dangerous parts are disposed of
