Tragedy struck the young hearts of Romeo and Juliet. Betrayed by their desire to be with one another for the rest of eternity. Misguided by the trustworthy Friar Lawrence. Romeo and Juliet is the story of Romeo and Juliet and their fate. In the play Romeo and Juliet the tragedy of the two lovers was conducted by none other than Friar Lawrence, fate, and themselves. Friar Lawrence,who acted as an advisor for the two lovers, wanted to end the fued between the two families. “For this alliance may so happy prove to turn your households’ rancor to pure love” (Shakespeare Ⅱ,Ⅲ). For a man of god and so wise at his age to marry a couple who have known one another for a mere day is preposterous. His desire to end the feud blinded him of the true mistake. He even made a remark about the marrying of the two.“So soon forsaken? Young men’s love then lies not truly in their hearts, but in their eyes” (Shakespeare Ⅱ,Ⅲ). If Romeo had just chosen to forget Rosaline and not go to Capulet’s party he would have not met Juliet. Still both attend and both fall in love. Even when Juliet discovers Romeo is a montague she still fights for him. She even seeks Friar lawrence for help: “Tell me not, Friar,that thou hearest of this, unless thou tell me how may i prevent it” (Shakespeare Ⅳ,Ⅰ). As it is understood, Juliet fell blindly in love. taking Friar Lawrence advice without thinking. She pretends to be dead and fails to inform Romeo causing an uproar. The lack of information causes the couple to not think clearly and make hasty decisions. In the end Romeo takes his own life without thinking. Juliet soon awakened later surprised to see a dead Romeo, thus committing suicide later. Letting emotion cloud people’s judgement makes the outcome
