I was like every high school freshmen but unlike others, I was always excited to go to school. The reason behind my excitement was the Audio/Video production course I attended. Freshman year was the time I decided to open up my interest in film to those I knew. The responses were negative. “Get a life.” “Just stick to tennis.” “You’re wasting your time.” I was devastated as the negative responses produced a transparent boulder upon my shoulder. Nothing but stress was the only thing I felt. I was lost. I was confused. I was like my seventh grade self again except this time, I was able to do what I loved and I wanted to prove people wrong. The Audio/Video course was the class I worked the hardest my freshman year. Outside of class thinking by conducting creative ideas for each assignment the teacher would assign and releasing my perfectionism to create the best video I could possibly create was what I did. The hard work spent on the class was well worth it as the teacher was highly impressed with my videos and the peers who once judged me as well. I continued to explore my full creative
