The book Warriors: A Dangerous Path is a great book for many diverse reasons. It has a detailed plotline that will keep any reader on edge and searching for more. It also has remarkably developed characters, allowing the reader to feel like they know each character personally. This book has an amazing setting; thus, the reader feels immersed in the story throughout the entire read. The plot in Warriors: A Dangerous Path is intricate and interesting. This series has many books in it; therefore, Erin Hunter is able to make each book packed with information yet still being easy to read. There are many examples of detail and thoughtfulness in the book. “As they approached Snakerocks, Fireheart slowed down and signaled with his tail for the other cats to do the same. If they dashed straight in without knowing what they had to face, they would be no help to the apprentices.”(pg. 215, paragraph 4) is one example of how the author builds suspense in the story and how she gives the reader the reasons for characters’ actions. Another quote that demonstrates a detailed plot is on page 311, paragraph one.“Fire will save the Clan...you never understood, did you? Not even when I gave you your apprentice name, Firepaw. And I doubted it myself, when fire raged through our camp.” This sentence shows how the author
Even though the main characters are animals, Erin Hunter personified the characters, allowing the reader to further understand and relate to them. The readers are able to see the characters grow throughout the series, and each character has a detailed description. “Moonlight shone on her gray fur, giving her a ghostly appearance, as if she were already halfway into the world of Starclan.”.
