On September 11, 2001 over 150,000 people died, this is the average amount of people that die around the world on a daily basis, whether it be murder, accidents or natural causes. Over 150,000 people died that day, but we only talked about around 3,000 of them, this is because the other 147,000 people did not die in an attack on one of the largest cities in the world. It is sad to say but these people did not die in a way that was exciting enough for the world to care that much, the world was focused on the people that died as a result of evil. The people who died in car crashes or war or sickness were too banal for the world on that day. Those types of deaths are things that we can all understand: wars happen everyday and people expect them to end in death and sorrow, car crashes and diseases take lives daily as well, it is only the unthinkable tragedies that we focus
