We need strict gun control laws to stop the mass shooting. The most recent mass shooting that I can remember is the Orlando nightclub shooting. The Orlando nightclub shooting happens on Sunday, June 12, 2016, in Orlando. There were 49 people died and 53 people wounded. My heart is broken when I hear stories of the mass shooting like this happen in our country. According to an article called “Could more gun control have stopped 2015's deadliest mass shootings?” the writer claim that “A Guardian analysis of the 20 shootings with the most fatalities in 2015 found that most gunmen obtain their weapons legally. But had a range of proposed federal reforms designed to strengthen gun laws been in place, many of these mass shootings could have been less likely to have happened. In nine of the 12 cases where information was available, tougher laws could have prevented killers from obtaining their guns.” Most of the guns that are used for mass were purchased legally in the stores. Many people are mentally unstable and shouldn’t be able to purchase a gun. It is so easy for these crazy killers to purchase a gun. It isn’t safe for other people when these people can own a gun. Many of mass shooting in the United States happens in school and public places. Schools should be a place where students go to get their education. Students should feel and be safe in school. School should be a place of drug and gun free zone. People who break these rules should face severe federal, state and local criminal penalties.
