Kids will go insane if the school board adds one and a half hours to school. Children are already stressed about SOLs and homework. We shouldn't put more pressure on them. The school board should add more days to the school days to the school year than adding more hours. Adding more time will cause more problems and stress. The school board should not add one and a half hours board because students will complain more, teachers will have to stay longer after the school day, and it would limit after-school activities.…
Physical education fits in the obesity problem because it is based upon rigorous national standards that define what students should know and be able to do as a result of participation. Physical education is unique as it is the only program that provides students with opportunities to learn motor skills, develop fitness, and gain understanding about the importance of physical activity. P.E is a great way to help obesity, starting at schools and helping lower…
If you took out P.E. from highschool curriculum, not only would you be telling students that physical activity is unimportant, but you would be forgetting that some people make a living off of physical activity. You never know if the next Michael Jordan is attending your school. By keeping them from P.E. class, you are prohibiting them from discovering their niche, thus hiding it forever.…

In school it’s good to get your brain refreshed, and that’s what PE offers. Students stimulate their brain and increase their brainpower for the next class. School is a stressful environment when one has so many things to worry about. The students with PE are lucky because they get a chance, during school, to relieve some stress and focus better in the day. On a traditional high school schedule we only have five minutes between each class. For many students including myself, that is not enough time to get prepared. Some of the times as soon as students step in front of their lockers the warning bell rings, which means once again we are late. Almost once a week students are late to at least one class, if not more. There are a few different reasons why we should get more time between our classes. This is a serious problem to most others and me. Now I think its finally time for us to do something about it.…

This quote claims that keeping PE will not hurt the scores and if it does not help the scores they will stay the same. “In fact, a growing body of evidence shows that increased time for physical education and other school-based physical activity programs is associated with either a neutral or positive impact on academic outcomes.” (Columbia University) It is believed that physical activity will affect the rates of students who drop out of school. They believe this is caused by a sense of togetherness that is created by team sports at schools.…
To begin with, PE lessons are important, if nit significant, to students’ physical health. Nowadays, students are busy with their schoolwork. When they have time, they may have to go to tutorial schools or attend extra lessons. As a result, many students do not spend time on doing sports. Only through PE lessons can students have some exercises. Moreover, exercises can increase the learning efficiency of students. Therefore, it is undoubted that PE lessons should be kept.…
