1. Ivan VI, also known as Ivan the Terrible, was the first Tsar. When he became the Tsar, he gained control of Siberia. Ivan the Terrible didn’t trust anyone, so he created an office of secret police called the Oprichnina, which then created the KGB. The KGB was the main security agency for the Soviet Union from 1954-1991.

The Stone Age also lead to people getting their first permanent homes, and they began to collect different items. Technology is started and it then explodes. Technology is the basis of daily life for most people in the 21st century.
5. Metallurgy is the process of combining copper and tin to make bronze. This created the Bronze age. During this time weapons and other tools were made of bronze.
6. During the Bronze age social hierarchy forms. People become powerful and wealthy, resulting in the first governments.
7. Western Civilization began in Greece. Western Civilization is based upon reason and political liberty. Western Civilization then spread all over Europe through music, art, architecture, weaponry, clothing, and more.
8. The Peloponnesian war was fought by Athens and Sparta. Sparta won the war. The war lasted 30 years between 431 B.C to 404 B.C. The city of Athens created democracy during this time period which today many countries have adopted.
9. The Greeks created theatre during the time period above. The Greeks used theatre to show tragedies and comedy. They also made fun of people in politics, which is now seen in political comics. Greeks such as Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle created mathematics and geometry. These discoveries are incorporated in almost everything we use today for example, how something is made or how we cook.
12. After Alexander the Great conquered a great amount of land, the Greeks gave their knowledge to the west, such as math, science, and the Golden Ratio. The Golden Ratio defined beauty. This knowledge spread all over the world. When Rome falls the accomplishments of Greece are pushed aside until the Renaissance.
13. In 753 B.C Rome was founded. The Etruscans invaded Rome. The Etruscans taught romans how to build arches and roads, which are seen all throughout present day Rome. Romans also invented concrete, which lead to metal and iron weaponry.
14. In 509 B.C Rome became a democracy. The senate and laws were created. The word senate comes from "Senex" which means old men, which were exactly what the senators were.
15. After the establishment of democracy in Rome, the emergence of dictator powers appeared. Julius Caesar was the first dictator for life. Dictatorships then occurred all throughout history, and still
