What Are My Goals In College
My personal goal is to improve my handwriting. This goal is most accurate for school but I usually write at home too. I want to improve my handwriting because sometimes it’s sloppy. I will accomplish this goal by trying to write neater even though it will take more time. I will start to work on this goal today and hopefully I will improve by the end of the year. My academic goal is improving my grades. I don’t have any D’s or F’s but i do have one C which I’m trying really hard to pick it up to an A, but at least a B. I want to improve my grades because I want to have a good report on my report card and it will help me in the future to get a test. I will improve my grades by studying more. The night before a test I will study before going to bed so I can remember everything faster and better. The second thing I will do is retake tests if I get lower than a 5-8. Last thing I can try to do is pay attention more in general and ask questions when I don’t understand something. …show more content…
Reading more will help me a lot. It will help me pass my AR goal at school. Sometimes it’s really hard to convince me to read a book but I know I have to for school so I do. Once I start reading a book that looks interesting I will get into it so much I will read the whole class period. My teacher helped me find a book called you’re bacon me crazy. I’ve started reading it and I can tell that I will enjoy it alot. I will start to improve my goal by first reading the book that I started reading, and once I finish it I will basically start reading more and asking people for some reading

Is it smart to set goals before college? ‘‘About half of all students who start college don’t finish. Roughly one quarter of freshmen drop out before sophomore year,’’ according to Career Prep Academy. Twenty-five percent of freshmen’s in college drop out before their next year in college. Students drop out for many reasons and one of these being not setting goals for themselves, many students might believe that setting goals is creating a path to failure and unrealistic dreams, but in contrast setting goals helps students stay on the path to completing college. By setting goals and measuring their achievements, students are able to see what they have done and what they are capable of, it helps them to stay focused on their path by guiding them on what they ought to achieve in life. I am a communicator because everyday single day I ask questions and talk to people. Mostly questions to teachers because sometimes I don’t get it, but sometimes my friends because they might be confusing. One of my goals is to not wait until the last minute to do all my homework because sometimes there are a lot and I won’t be able to finish it in time unless I stay up extremely late. In order to avoid doing that, I will always ask my siblings or parents to keep reminding me to do my homework until it’s no longer a habit. My other goal is to be a better thinker because sometimes the best way to understand the question is to think deeply. My third goal relates to my first one and that is to always do my homework. Most of the time I’m very lazy and I don’t want to get out of bed just to do homework so I just leave it there. I will begin changing that goal by telling my brother, my sister, my mom, or my dad to keep…
