The main character of the film is Jess who is really talented teenage-girl. She is dreaming being a professional soccer player and play with her super hero David Beckham. Even though her family do not let her play, she is trying every possible way. She is lying to her family to play soccer with her friends. All these things show us, she is really infatuated with being a soccer player.

Jess mother, Mrs Bharmra, Jules mother wants her daughter to be more feminine, but at least her father supports her. Jules helps Jess achieve her goals and make her dream become possible. She is kind and thoughtful, but she gets very jealous and angry, for example when Jess almost kissed Joe.
Their coach, Joe is the most encouraging people for these girls. He is the one who goes to talk with Jess parents about her talent. Joe loved playing football, but after his injury he had to swap his passion for coaching football.
