Starts of with Gatsby and Daisy when Tom, Daisy husband wants to go to town.Tom doesn't know that Daisy is having a affair with Gatsby. Daisy walks over to Gatsby and both of their eyes met started to stare at each like there alone in space and Daisy states that “You always look so cool”( Fitzgerald 119). When Daisy said this to Gatsby she meant that she always loved Gatsby and
Tom say this it shooked him from what she said.
When Tom, Daisy, Gatsby, Nick, and Jordan go to town and they stay in sweat Gatsby talks to Tom how Daisy doesn't love Tom and that she love him. Tom looks at Daisy says “You’ve been seeing this fellow for five years?’’(Fitzgerald 131). Daisy never loved Tom and that she always loved Gatsby. Tom get angry at Gatsby want to start a fight with him but it quickly shut down. Gatsby loving Daisy leads him to his demised at the end.
The Great Gatsby has complicated relationship and their not always how their seemed from Daisy truly not loving Tom and loving Gatsby instead. Tom not knowing until Gatsby tells him. At the end it leads him to his death and Tom is still with Daisy.
