1. Identify the strengths and weaknesses of each candidate for the leadership role.
Taneshia : worked for the company for 3 yrs., bachelors in health admin, registered record admin, minor in human resources. She is currently director or heath information management systems. Great relationship with peers and doctors. Her weaknesses are only that she comes across as being pompous, and very opinionated.
Felipe: worked for the company for 5 yrs., bachelors in health admin, masters in business admin, great people skills, marketing and contracting, signed a number …show more content…
Her weaknesses are not being comfortable with those not of her ethnicity, assertive leadership and aggressive collection has caused for complaints from patients.
2. Which of the factors you consider important would most favor Taneshia? Felipe? Amanda?
Taniesha- the factors I would consider are what she has done for the company, her degrees and her relationship with others.
Felipe- his degrees and his relationship with his peers and the community.
Amanda- degrees, work experience and relationship with her peers.
3. Do you think the ethnicity of the candidate influence the person selected?
No, the ethnicity shouldn’t play a role in the choice. The candidates should be chosen on their merits and what they a can bring to the table to help in the advancement of the center.
4. Which of the three candidates would you recommend to be the next leader? Why?
I would recommend Amanda, while the other two candidates have more degrees and different experiences, Amanda has been with the company the longest, works with a large group of employees under her and she has already been taking the lead position when the current leader is
