What characteristics make these essays expository?

I thought both essays used evidence, examples, or facts to explain a concept and they informed me as the reader about their topics with a thesis as its base. The information was presented fairly and in a non-biased manner.

Identify the type of organization each author used to develop the essay (topic, time order, space order, or informative process).
The type of organization the author used for the essay “Setting the Table” was the Informative Process.
Informative Process is an expository essay developed by informative process may best be described as a “how to” essay, or demonstration. This essay involves a step-by-step process, with content arranged in their chronological order.

The type of organization the author used for the essay “Cochlear Implants” was Time Order.
Time order is an expository essay developed by time order involves the chronological organization of information from one time period to another. This type of expository development arranges information according to date or specific time.

Why do you think each author chose that type of organization for his or her essay?

I believe the author of “Setting the Table” chose the informative process of organization for the essay because due to the type of information it contained the informative process was the best way to explain the examples and opinions.

I believe the author of “Cochlear Implants” chose time order as the organization process for this essay because it’s content was from different periods in time.

In what ways does this organizational choice make the essay effective?
I think this organizational choice makes the essays effective because it is easy to follow and understandable. For me, it was reader friendly and I knew exactly what the writer was trying to say in the essay.
