What College Mean To Me Essay

The word college has different meanings according to the person whom the subject it is talked about. To some people college is a place to have fun and find out who one is while to others the word college means a place to seek a better living. The word college itself means a place where a person gets a higher degree in education. Whatever the meaning may be, it can be agreed that college is necessary to become someone in life and not get the usual pay as everyone else. Different people have their reasons to attend college. Some more meaningful than others.
Attending college has been one of my life time goals since I was a little girl. I would always remember saying I wanted to become someone in life. As a child, I had the image that if I could have a better future I could give my parents back what they have given me and not have to see them work in hard labor forces. The image of having to wake up every morning before the sunrise to go to work really impacted me. I hated having to go the fields every morning
It is what decides between me having the lifestyle my parents had or having a better one. I feel like college will change me and help me realize who I am and if what I want is really what I want to become. In a way it helps me change phases in my life. It is an opportunity not only to gain more knowledge but the opportunity to become someone in life. It will help me not only accomplish my dreams but in the near future help someone else accomplish theirs. The course of college may be difficult but with determination I will be sure that I will make it through. Since I know that college is important to my future I also know that I will have to do many things such as passing my classes and putting effort into what I do. It is the key to unlock the desired.
