“Patriotism” to me means to hold your gender, race, religion, or culture highly and to show respect to your country. I believe that is what “patriotism” means because in my U.S. History class the word “patriot” means loyal. One example of showing patriotism is by placing your hand over your heart and singing your country’s national anthem. Another example of being patriotic is standing up for your country and also representing your country. The last example of being patriotic is by teaching others coming up about the history or their country. Patriotism is a job that people do and risk their lives for everyday, such as soldiers in the army, regiment, police officers, fire men, and also people in the marine.
