“Patriotism is a love and a duty, a love of country expressed in good citizenship.” (Act. 1.2) Although, patriotism may have several different meanings it all comes together to the same meaning. To stand against injustice and the rights of all and not just one’s own interests.” This means to think about others and not just yourself. Also standing up for what is right on the outside world. For example, volunteering jobs is probably one of the best ways for Americans to show love and devotion for your country. It shows that you actually care about something and this could be a major impact on a community or a poor area. “For all our millions of square miles, for all or millions of people, there is a unity in language and speech, in law and economics, in education and in general purpose, which nowhere finds its match.”(Act. 1.3 pg. 7) This basically means that no other country is like ours, we have more advantages than other

In conclusion, patriotism, freedom, and love for your country are key aspects to being an American. Building and making or country a better place is a positive way to keep all the citizens of America moving forward. If the citizens of America have faith and take pride in our country, it’ll be a better place. Overall, to be an American will remain the same.
