What It Means To Be An American?
There is so many things of what it means to be a American. It involves Americans having there freedoms and their rights. I believe being a American is something that is a privlage to have then just something that everyone who lives in the United States have. Being American is even something that can be counted as a blessing,
One of the ways of how it means to be American is having freedom. It is one of the most known things about America is out freedom. What is means to have freedom is we don't get told what to do when it comes who we marry, or if we have to join our military, what school we go to, what job we have. Our freedom is we get to make these decsions. Yes, we do have rules that are laws by the state or government that we have
to follow but that is something that does not interfear with our freedom. Many people use there freedoms in different ways. I use them by going to school I want and applying to collages I want to so I can go into the dential field. I do not want to go in into the military and I know that I wont be made to as well. The advantages to my freedoms are that I get to be happy and get to do what I want for a living without anyone interfering with it and I do not get to have out government say what they believe.
Another way of what it means to be American is having your own rights. Like you own rights to have your own religion. You can have what ever religion you want Christian, Jewish, ect. As well as you get to bare arms if you want. This mean you can own a gun with you would like and no one can take it from you because its your own right. Another right is a person does not need to house a soilder if they don't want to. All of these right come from the Bill of Rights.
These are just a few of the ways of what it means to be a American. You get to be free and have your freedoms and with that you get to have your rights that come from the Bill of Rights.Being American means you do get these but it also means you have to follow them as well.
