Abstract
Human beings are amazing creatures at times. Every person in the world has needs that are essential to survive. Additionally, the majority of them have wants that they would like to be satisfied. A survey was done to learn what my fellow classmates at Delta College believed a human being is. It was determined that most of the men and women questioned for the survey have opposite opinions of what they think a human being is. Abraham Maslow constructed a hierarchy with five different stages showing what motivates a person to achieve their wants and needs in life.

What does a Human Need?
A human is a biological and anatomical being. The definition of biological is life and living things. (Biological, 2014) The definition of anatomical is the structure of the human body. (Anatomy, 2014) Humans are living and breathing persons with a fierce need to survive. When a person’s needs are gone, they may react in various ways, mainly desperation, which can lead to more behaviors.
Part 1
During the past several weeks, I have studied what it means to be a human through interviewing my peers, researching the internet, and reading informational books. The results of the interview indicated that most of the female students who were twenty-two-years-old, said human beings in their opinions are people that are alive and breathing or someone who’s able to function in their everyday lives. The interviewed male students that were twenty-one-years-old, said a human beings in their views are something or someone that has the ability to feel emotion and a person that has feelings and compassion for others.
Part 2 There are a considerable amount of human needs. Humans have a need for food to stay alive and to nourish their bodies. Human beings also have a need for oxygen to breathe. According to Abraham Maslow
