Did you know that during the Cold War over twenty million people died? It was a pretty devastating war. While the reason it is called the “Cold War” is because it never sparked into an actual war, there was still a lot of war going on. I’m here to tell you about the what happened during the Cold War.
During the beginning of the Cold War (1947-1991), America devised a strategy called “containment” (“Cold War History”). Containment meant that they would try to stop communism from spreading to other places in the world. While trying to stop the spread of communism in the world, Russia tried to make a “Cold War” on the British Empire (“Cold War”).
