What Happens When People Start Off Young
Football is under attack these days because people think it’s too dangerous and parents are starting to not let their kids play at a young age. To me if you don’t start them young they won’t be ready when they get older and they won’t know anything about it. Another reason is because if you start them off young you can figure out if they like the sport or not because you shouldn’t force them to play it should be their choice. One final reason is because if you start them off young they will get better and stronger by the time they get to middle school and high school and they would play a lot better than they would have if their first time playing was in high school. I believe that parents should start their kids off playing football at a young age. If you start …show more content…

a lot of parents force their child to play football and sometimes that makes the child upset or angry. If you start them off young you can find out if they like it or not and it could save them a lot of time and also save you money. Also if you find out they don’t like the sport you have enough time to find out what else they might be interested in like another sport or getting involved in the community. Another reason is because starting them off young will build their strength and stamina It will also teach them the proper way to perform the actions safely. Football requires a lot of strength throughout the game and even practice. If you don't have enough strength and you get hit in the game you will fall right down and you might not even recover from the hit depending on how hard it was. Football also requires a good amount of stamina. If you can't keep moving for a good amount of time you won't get a lot of play time because you can't last like other players can. Not getting PT (Play Time) also affects kids because if you don't get in ,sometimes people make jokes about you and think that you suck even though they haven't seen you play

In Scott Fujita article “Would I Let My Son Play Football” on page 3 it states “produced so many friendships, paid for part of my education and helped me become comfortable financially”. After reading and analyzing “Would I Let My Son Play Football” by Scott Fujita in the New York Times, I would most definitely allow my son to play football if he wanted to. How can I bash a game that produced so many friendships, paid for part of my education, and helped me become the comfortable financially” (Fujita 3). There are very little programs or organizations that can provide so much for you.…

After reading Scott Fujita’s “Would I Let My Son Play Football,” I would allow my son to play football. Fujita says, “ Here I am questioning whether children should be playing at all, and I’m basically selling the game to children watching at home.”(Fujita, 4) Here, Fujita is contradicting himself, and it shows that even a former professional football player can’t hate the game, despite the harm that comes with it. Fujita also states “.... most parents with young children who played football were most interested in my workout regimen and what supplements I was taking (Fujita, 2).” According to Fujita, football has given him the chance to be stronger, in a physical manner. After seeing how fit football players are able to be, it attracts me…

“WEE oooWEEooo”. The sounds of the ambulance roaring in the background, the screaming of commotion, the first aid-responders run onto the field, the parents running after, trying to stay calm. While football is fun, every good thing comes with a consequence. The age for when playing football should be raised to twelve because before twelve, the brain is still developing, players who have played before the age of twelve can have a chance of behavioral issues, and playing before the age of twelve gives a higher risk of CTA.…

“School should be about learning, not sports”. Kids now a days love to play sports, but don’t like to learn. Learning, and get an education this is a very important thing in life you need it to have a good job so that you can have a family and support them. So I feel in school you must have good grades in order to play any type of sport, and if you do not then you should not be playing. A couple reasons I feel like this is for starters kids pay more attention to sports then they do in class. This is not how this should be. Kids should love to learn something new every day at school, but in some school that’s not the case. Kids need to learn.…

Football is a popular sport with half a million injuries nationally. 4 out of every 1000 high school football exposures resulted in an injury and 8 of out of every 1000 collegiate football exposures resulted in injuries so that means that even if it’s played in high school or college levels there is still a risk of injuries. High school football players have a greater proportion of getting season ending injuries as in fractures and concussions. High levels of ankle and knee injuries are most common when playing football.
