What Is Betty Human's System Model
BETTY NEUMAN'S SYSTEMS MODEL
MAJOR CONCEPTS I. PERSON VARIABLES Each layer, or concentric circle, of the Neuman model is made up of the person variables. Ideally, each of the person variables should be considered simultaneously and comprehensively.
-In the Newman System model, she states that a person or a client is made up of variables and they are functioning at the same time.
PERSON VARIABLES 1. Physiological - refers of the physicochemical structure and function of the body. 2. Psychological - refers to mental processes and emotions. 3. Spiritual - refers to the influence of spiritual beliefs. 4. Developmental - refers to those processes related to development over the lifespan.

These factors include: system variables, genetic features, and the strengths and weaknesses of the system parts. * The person's system is an open system and therefore is dynamic and constantly changing and evolving. Stability, or homeostasis, occurs when the amount of energy that is available exceeds that being used by the system. * A homeostatic body system is constantly in a dynamic process of input, output, feedback, and compensation, which leads to a state of balance.
-the Central Core states that it is the basic structure and it is made up of survival factors that is common in every individual. Betty Neuman also states that a person is an open system, meaning every person are available or can adjust in such environment or in any situation in order do have a balance in a system. For example, if the individual can not adjust do an environment and it cause him an imbalance in the system, then the illness come, but if he balanced the system so therefore he will be healthy or wellness comes. Example for this is our immune system, it is responses on the microorganism or any bacteria which can cause to an individual an illness or can be resulting into death. VI. RECONSTITUTION * Reconstitution is the increase in energy that occurs in relation to the degree of reaction to the stressor. * Reconstitution begins at any point following initiation of treatment for invasion of stressors. * Reconstitution may expand the normal line of defense beyond its previous level, stabilize the system at a lower level, or return it to the level that existed before the illness.
-Reconstitution, it is the process of going back the system in the normal level of wellness after the invasion of the stressors. Or it is the process of returning the balance of the person that existed before the stressors invasion, VII. STRESSORS * The Neuman Systems Model looks at the impact of stressors on health and addresses stress and the reduction of stress (in the form of stressors). * Stressors are capable of having either a positive or negative effect on the client system. * A stressor is any environmental force which can potentially affect the stability of the

Generally, the body is in homeostasis when its needs are met and it’s functioning properly. Every organ in the body contributes to homeostasis.     Homeostasis is the existence of a stable environment in the body for survival. This process is always regulating bodily functions in order to keep the body in optimal condition. When conditions change a receptor senses and sends a message to a control center. The control center processes the information and sends an appropriate command to effectors. These effectors will respond to the command which will stimulate a positive or negative response. A positive response will stimulate the increase of the change. For example if a person got a cut, the response from the effector would be to help stimulate clotting in the cut area. A negative response would attempt to cancel out the change, such as when the body becomes too hot or cold. When this happens the effectors cause veins and arteries to expand or narrow in order to increase or decrease blood flow. The way homeostasis works is very similar to the way cruise control works. While traveling on a relatively normal road, the cruise control will keep the car at a certain speed and only use a certain amount of fuel.
