In the story of Macbeth, by William Shakespeare illustrates ambition between Macbeth and Lady Macbeth. Overall in Macbeth ambition is a strong suit meaning that when Macbeth revealed to his wife that three witches have spoken to him about a prophecy. The prophecy that witches revealed to Macbeth was that he would become the “thane of cawdor,thane of Glamis,thou shalt be king hereafter” ( I.iii,). After the witches have spoken to him about that he would become the ,thane of cawdor and eventually the king was very true. In the story he wrote his wife a letter speaking of what the witches have told him, that shows that Lady Macbeth wants to have that power as well and she is willing to manipulate Macbeth into murdering the Duncan who was the king. Overall both have shown ambition but truly Lady Macbeth's dominates.
Lady Macbeth dominates because she came up with the plan to kill Duncan in his sleep. Truly, she was manipulating Macbeth into the murder and she does that by telling him that she will drug the guards and that she will murder him in his sleep. To repeat ambition takes over when Lady Macbeth was “sleep walking” and she confesses to what she has done and the doctor and other lady now know what happen .
