I feel Nature vs. Nurture begins subconsciously at the very beginning of life, beginning with the very first cry and matures at each passing moment as we adapt to a new environment. We all experience this moment and eventually learn how to recognize what characteristics are ours and what is in our genetic make-up. Many neglected children are forced to experience these phases on their own with uncertainty and fear. To them nature is what is inherited genetically but as they learn to fend for themselves it is nurture that is crucial for survival in their given environment. In such ghastly environments, most adults would live in fear of being the next meal, whereas these children created a bond of protection with the animals. How did they know to look to the animals for companionship and to still give themselves the small necessary essentials needed to survive? The innate instincts of man have proven to be exuberant. Which brings me back to the womb. That baby wasn’t given direction on how to survive it relied on what was put right in front of him. Whether pretty or ugly, right or wrong. That survival was indeed essential and rather quickly adapted
