Abigail williams is portrayed as a young beautiful girl who is associated with the devil, who took the form of a woman to convince the women from the village into sin. abigail is very vengeful, selfish, manipulative and a spectacular liar. She seems to be gifted at spreading death, manipulating others and gaining control over them to get what she wants no matter what the cost. Throughout the play her accusations and lies lead to many people's pain and suffering, but she seemed to never care for any of them except John Procter, whom she had
an affair with months prior to the beginning of the play. John proctor and his wife elizabeth employed abigail until elizabeth found out that john and abigail were having an affair and then proceed to throw abigail out. Although john told abigail that the affair was over and he would never touch her again, she was in denial of what he was telling her. Towards the beginning of the play Abigail tried to kill Elizabeth with a witch's curse by drinking blood. She thought that if Elizabeth were dead, John would marry her. In act 2, Abigail accused Elizabeth of witchcraft. She When she saw Mary Warren, the Proctor's new servant, making a poppet in church.
