The video I watched was a reenactment of the original Stanley Milgram experiment conducted by Derren Brown. In the experiment, the subjects were told that they were doing an experiment on how punishment could affect learning. They were tricked into thinking that they picked their own roles when they actually got the teacher roles and the actor got the learner role on purpose. They started the experiment by showing them what they were going to do to the “learner”. They were put in a room with an electricity generator that was going to shock the learner/actor in the next room. Each time the learner got an answer wrong they had to raise the electric shock that was given to the learner. Over 50% of the people gave up …show more content…
Shocking someone just because it’s an experiment isn’t a good enough reason for me. I’m one of those people who can’t stand watching someone get hurt. That one guy that suggested that they put more notches on the generator really made me go
“What the heck dude”! What kind of person would say such a thing? A future murderer, that’s who! How would he like it if he was the one getting the shocks? People like that make me feel like actually hurting them so they can see that pain is not something that is funny and be wished upon other people just because. The people who actually stopped the experiment are actually sane people who know that fact even though it took them a while to do so. They got a taste of how it would feel so they should know.
The Bystander Effect
The second video I watched was called “The Bystander Effect”. The purpose of this experiment was to see what a person would do if they saw another person lying out on the street. Would they stop and offer help or would they simply ignore the person and keep on walking? The performances were made out on the pavement outside the

The third act was an actress this time who was just acted as a normal lady who wasn’t a drunk but wasn’t of good wear either. She had to wait almost 5 minutes to get attention by two people! The fourth act was the same actor from the first and second act. The actor wore casual wear and acted in pain, nobody helped.
This video really made me disappointed in humanity. How can they not do anything? They think they’re too good to help the person in need! Are they not thinking of how the person in need might be feeling? I would like to get help if I’m lying on the street and in pain! If I’m dieing I would like to NOT die alone! I would like to be by my loving family! People really need to start putting themselves in other people's shoes and think of their feelings and needs! Who would like to be left lying alone on a street with no help and in need of help? Not me! The last act where the actor acted in pain and nobody helped really, but really, got me mad. What monsters they are!

The third video I watch is called “78 Year Old Man Gets Hit By Car and NoOne
Helps”. This short video shows an elderly man walking to get across the road. When
