In their young ages they were both into rock and that is a type of music. Her parents are the reason why Mia is so into music at this age. She started playing the cello during elementary. She has been playing it for ten years. Also Mias boyfriend was involved with music too. Adam was a guitarist for a band. Their first date was to a concert that was music related. MIa also wanted to go to Julliard after high school to pursue her dreams of playing the cello. Music is what made Mia choose to stay and live rather than die and leave everyone behind. For example, why doesn’t Adam like being a huge star? Wouldn't anyone want that? I believe that Adam is not happy with his new life because, his new life doesn’t have Mia in it. He’s sad and lonely without her. He feels very diffident in this life. “...feels like I’m already all on my lonesome. Me alone in a soundproof booth” (Forman 9). Second, why did Mia breakup with Adam? Why did she just one day stop talking to him? I think she just cut him off one day because, it was hard for her to deal with the past and relive what happened to her. Finally, why is Shooting Star (Adam’s band) against him? Why is the band essentially not together? I think their not together or not friends because Adam was the star of the band. Their were jealous of him and what he had. Overall the reader can produce many questions. Besides evaluating and questioning the novel, the reader can also predict what could happen…
