This has helped him become more successful because it has attracted millions of citizens around the world who are so eager to see what ridiculous stunt West has pulled this time.Aside from his music career, West has also showed himself to be a greedy and wealthy businessman. He is well known for his line of sneakers and clothing pieces which are both under the “Yeezy” brand. Both his line of sneakers and his clothing brands are manufactured in China, meaning his retail price ($500-$1500) for these items are overpriced. This shows that West can be considered a greedy and wealthy man. Our society thinks that since an item is designed by West and is expensive, it must be a good piece of clothing. This then attracts others into purchasing his clothing as well. This results in him becoming more successful because he is making a vast amount of money from his overpriced designs. We can evidently see the correlation of West and Great Gatsby himself as they both have the same drive for power and money which give them similar character and personality
