The gold stars are my favorite part to the memorial.
The symbolism of the stars are simply represent all the soldiers who lost their lives in the war. The stars mean a lot in history because it represent all the soldiers who gave their life to fight for their freedom. The soldiers gave up their lives for our freedom and their freedom for us to be free. The next part of the monument is the 24 bronze reliefs for the soldiers. The bronze reliefs is the most exquisite piece of the World War 2 memorial. The symbolism of the reliefs is what was going on during the war on both sides. The reliefs depict the all-mobilization of America’s agriculture, industrial, military, and human resources that have transformed this country into an arsenal of democracy. The reliefs mean a lot to our country because it shows all the kinds of people who helped America and Europe get through World War 2. Those are the reasons and additions that make the World War 2 memorial a
memorial. World War 2 was hard for everyone especially the leaders in all of the war. Example Winston Churchill, the British prime minister. Every memorial has a meaning and the World War 2 memorial has a lot of meaning to all of the U.S and the British. World War 2 was a very important war because it made the U.S and the British allies. The war has also given freedom to so many people especially the soldiers who have risked their life for this country and for our freedom. Everyone should care about all wars because we could no be the way we are without some of the wars. So next time you ask yourself why is this war important or why is this memorial, think about how much freedom you have, how far the world has gotten, and how the world has changed since this war or battle. Be proud that you have the armed forces and non-armed forces to protect you.
