According to the videos, the Industrial Revolution changed the role of a woman immensely. The women of the Industrial Revolution were now given the opportunity to become the money makers of the family if they really wanted to. Women were given more choices on what they could pursue in their lives. Many would go out and get jobs in hopes to provide for their families, and then there were some that went out looking for jobs to better their education, and to make something of themselves. Women no longer needed to sit around and wait for marriage because they were now able to go out and make their own means of living. They didn’t have to be so dependent on a man because they were given some of the same opportunities that they were denied previously.

While women were being taken advantage of and being forced to work for lesser pay, men were being paid very low wages as well, that is unless they are very high skilled workers. The Industrial Revolution, at it’s start, exploited the very low class of workers that made very little in life because of the wages they were receiving.
