Ecotourism places a value on the health of the local people/tribes etc, animals/wildlife and environment and rather than aiming to earn a very high profit at all costs, it aims to earn a profit while respecting local people/tribes, animals/wildlife and nature as a whole allowing them to benefit in some way from the endeavor. Good ecotourism companies make conscious choices in every aspect of their business. For instance, they recycle products and choose biodegradable materials whenever possible. Many countries have embraced ecotourism because of its positive effect on the country and the tourists and the local people
Fact: According to the International Ecotourism Society, 83 percent of developing countries rely on ecotourism as their main "export," and it serves as the main export of one-third of the poorest countries.
Tourism…
Personally tourism for me is both because on one hand it benefits the host country so it can develop and boost its economy and on the other hand the tourists can be really ignorant be really unlawful and do illegal things e.g. steal lumps of coral reefs which take millions of years to grow and take ivories from endangered species like the rhino black/white I don’t know and also the elephants tusks etc so that’s my conclusion I can’t say much about it (tourism) because to me it’s both.
