- My initial response to the story was the fact that I liked it. I thought that it had the feel of a Fable or a Fairy Tale having this flow made reading the story more enjoyable and very rhythmic in my head.
2. How do you interpret Donald's story about Pete hitting his stitches? Was Pete trying to get rid of Donald? What could his reason have been?
- I interpret Donald's story about Pete hitting his stitches as just an older brother picking on a it happens all the time especially when parents make a big deal out of it, I honestly do not believe that Pete was trying to get rid of Donald it is just Donald messing with him.
3. Towards the end of the story, on page 338, both Pete and Donald get out of the car. In paragraph 260, Pete "dropped to one knee, searching the packed dirt with his hands. He didn't know what he was looking for, his hands would know when they found it." How do you interpret this scene? What is Pete looking for?
- I honestly am confused by this question the only way that I can think of answering is that Pete was done being judged by Donald and that he was considering on maybe throwing something at Donald maybe out of frustration since he said …show more content…
It was either learn to play football with my cousins and brother or play barbies all by myself. However I cannot really make any connection with this story in the terms of having a sibling rivalry. I have one older brother we never really fought and kind basically stayed out of each others way most of the time. My brother had his friends I had my friends and when we were at home we would basically just be in our separate rooms the whole time unless we needed something from the other or it was time to eat. It is not like we never spent time together we did but we just knew how to co-exists without bothering one
