Whitney Elizabeth Houston (August 9, 1963 – February 11, 2012) was a world renowned American Musician, Model, Producer, and Actor. She has sold over 170 million albums internationally. She has made and achieved seven studio albums and released 3 soundtrack albums all reaching high achievements such as platinum or gold. Whitney Houston was the only artist to chart seven consecutive billboard hot 100 hits (Wikipedia).” Whitney Houston’s sudden passing on the eve of the Grammys saddened us all, and the impact she made on the entire planet was quickly evident on Twitter, Facebook and all over other types of social media. Whitney was known for her music and amazing voice, especially for the song, “I will always love you” off the soundtrack of the
movie she stared in “The Bodyguard”. Whitney Houston suffered a severe drug addiction which greatly affected her reputation in the music industry and as a celebrity in general. She was married and divorced her ex husband singing sensation Bobby Brown. Their relationship was televised on Bobby’s reality show “Being Bobby Brown “. Bobby Brown was famous for his membership in the music group New Edition. They got married in 1992 and divorced in 2007 ending their 14 year marriage. Whitney’s death impacted the nation and the world as she was cherished by many for her music her dedication to her fans and her foundation The Whitney Houston Foundation for Children. Whitney leaves behind her daughter Bobbi Kristina and a host of other friends and relatives. She will be greatly missed.
