Who Is Charles Blow's Failing All Tests Of The Presidency?
In Charles Blow’s “Failing All Tests of the Presidency” (2017) he asserts his opinion that Trump is not acting as a true president and he is merely holding a place for an actual president to arrive and replace him. Blow communicates this by saying “Donald Trump is a man of flawed character and a moral cavity,” and “His interests center on the self; country be damned.” He exaggerates all of Trump’s flaws without regard to the truth that, maybe he has done something good while in office. He does this in attempts to force his hatred of Donald Trump onto others that might already not support him. Charles Blow employs his hatred of Trump and writes very controversial articles to everyone who is indifferent or not in support of Donald Trump. When

On June 16th at his very own Trump Tower in New York City, Donald Trump announced that he would be running for president. It was only thirty seconds into his speech when Trump committed his first fallacy. In an attempt to insult the intelligence of his fellow GOP candidates, he compared their incompetence toward air conditioners to their supposed inability to beat ISIS. “They didn’t know the air-conditioner didn’t work,” “How are they going to beat ISIS?” This is a bad example fallacy due to his use of an example that fails to prove the conclusion and has little connection to it. Despite the complete lack of relation between Trump’s example and his conclusion, he was still able to provoke the audience into feelings of contempt toward the other…

If there can be any objection to the administration, it can be the general disdain it has for reality. The President of the United States of America has employed the highest offense possible; he attempts to promote contradictory ideas at the same time and hold that they complement each other. Trump’s most important example should be his tone on the campaign trail. Trump’s campaign was run on two violently opposing ideas: that America is a perfect nation, that America is God’s nation, that America is the savior and protector of the world, America has the perfect culture that all nations should adopt, and our soldiers are the strongest, our products are the best, our land is the most beautiful, and that all nations should be subservient to American…

For example, the Justice Department sued Trump’s real estate company twice for not allowing black people to rent his apartments. The company gave different rental terms and conditions to black people that were unfair. The company also lied to them, saying their were no rooms available. During the presidential debates, Donald was asked about those claims and responded saying how an abundance of other companies have done that as well, as if that makes it okay for a future president to do so. In addition, Donald also attacked Muslim gold star parents verbally. Their son had died serving in the Iraq War. After the father gave a speech at the Democratic National Convention Trump said, “ If you look at his wife, she was standing there. She had nothing to say. She probably, maybe she wasn’t allowed to have anything to say. You tell me.”(Marans, “Here Are 13 Examples Of Donald Trump Being Racist). This remark is racist without a doubt and the effect of these examples are scary. He also accused Hillary Clinton of writing a script for the father which is rude and disrespectful. Donald Trump is a racist because of his indirect controversial…

Andrew Jackson, in my opinion, was a bad president for the United States. The worst thing he did was the Indian removal act which basically made thousands of innocent people leave their homes. Think about it if tomorrow Donald Trump's army is at your door making you leave your home! Later a group of Indians went back to Illinois, then the state militia gathered four thousand five hundred soldiers and slaughtered most of them at the Mississippi river after being chased there. He also promised equal protection and equal benefits. This was only for the whites what about all of the African Americans what are they suppose to do?…

The United States has had 44 presidents. The first one was George Washington in 1789, and the most recent is Barack Obama in 2009. The President of the United States is one of the most powerful men in the world. He is the chief executive of a political institution which employs several million civil servants and has control over the most powerful nuclear arsenal in the world. Therefore, the level of scrutiny upon his affairs is intense, not only from political bodies, both foreign and domestic, but also from the people of the United States. The level of pressure on this individual is intense and any wrong move, whether that be in his personal life or in his political affairs can lead to a “failed” presidency.…

Donald Trump won his presidency over Hilary Clinton, winning the electoral vote but losing the popular vote by around 2.9 million votes. Knowing that the majority of Americans did not want Trump as President, it would make sense for Trump to handle the office with care, and work to gain the trust of the Americans who did not want him as their President. In the short 48 days since Trump has been President, it is safe to say that he does not care about the opinions of those who did not vote for him and those that did vote for him. He signs executive orders and appoints nominees without consideration. He makes every move based on his priorities, and not the rest of America.…

The article then proceeds to question why Trump would imitate a man who has difficulty moving at least one of his limbs by madly thrashing his own. Evidence pertaining to who might be the intended audience is, “ is it asking too much for these people who are constantly attacking him to actually know what they are talking about? To be honest brokers of information? To be just a bit judicious?”( Kerry Jackson), and how this refers to the intended audience is words used such as ridiculous and fake referencing that the audience are people who similarly think that the social media bashing this topic are not aware of it in anyway. This article or source proves to be not credible due to the amount of bias shown towards the “lies” directed toward the event surrounding Trump’s name and accusations that evidence is apparent of being fake and a form of support to the anti-trump and anti- republican ideology. Statements such as “The lesson here is while the Democrats, and the branch of the DNC that’s also known as the media, are doing all they can to smear Trump as a depraved, crude and hateful man, the people who best fit under those terms are his accusers.”( Kerry Jackson) , leaves…

Nonetheless, if he wants to be successful in the political world, and seat in the oval office later on this year, he needs to change that. We all know that Trump can overhaul Clinton. After all, many consider her polling leads to be temporary as Trump is expected to release ads or leak secrets about her. However, the difference between Trump and Clinton is that though many Americans may not like Clinton, they are terrified of Trump. In addition, Trump’s biggest dilemma is the fact that he has close to two-thirds saying they have a disapproving opinion of him. Furthermore, Trump’s rankings are poorest with the voters who made up the so-called Obama union of young, nonwhite and well-educated voters who drove President Obama’s re-election four years past.…
