One of the most murderous dictators in history, Joseph Stalin. The “man of steel” was a ruthless dictator who controlled his people through violence and fear. He was born in December in Georgia, to the name of Josef Vissarionovich Djugashvili.Growing up Joseph was bullied by others at school, and was constantly endured beatings from his alcoholic father. his mother was very involved in religion and hoped that her son would be too. She sent him away to become a priest, instead on his journeys he came to a conclusion that he didn’t believe in god, instead he became an atheist. Another threat to Stalin was religion, he decided to destroy Russia’s most popular religion, and make everyone worship him as a God, everyone was required to have a picture of him in their house. Besides all the places suffering, Stalin treated Moscow lavishley, he gifted them all cars, money, alcohol, and concerts for following his beliefs.
