Introduction
Leila Khaled was born in Haifa, but does not remember much of her childhood because she was casted out to Lebanon in 1948 at the age of four. The Jews and the European Zionists drove millions of Arabs away from their homeland, Palestine. Leila Khaled was now living in Sour, Lebanon with her family in a United Nation Relief and Works Agency. In her eyes, she believed the Zionists were enjoying themselves in her homeland while she was living in a refugee camp. In 1969, she hijacked a plane from Rome to Athena as part of a political movement with the PLO (Palestinian Liberation Organization). The PLO was established in 1964 in order to regain the land they lost from the European Zionists which handed Palestine over to Israel. The Palestinian people struggle started in 1944 when they were driven out from their country. They were forced to live in refugee camps by cause of the agreement between the United Nations and the European Zionist’s partition to Palestine, which entitled all Palestine to the Jews and banished millions of Arabs. The United Nations expected the Arabian people to accept the partition in order for the Zionists expansion of their territory to end with Palestine. In 1970, while attempting her second hijack of the EL AL flight from Amsterdam to New York, a flight attendant was killed by one of Khaled colleagues. Khaled colleague was then shot by the Air Marshall and, along with other passengers, they maintained Khaled under control even while she was holding two grenades. Khaled never intended to use violence unless it was for self-defense. The plane made an emergency landing at Heathrow, where Khaled was arrested. One month later, the British government let her go has a prisoner exchange because the PFLP had hijacked a plane and kept 300 passengers hostage until Khaled was
