At the end of the novel Meg is an insecure, hotheaded, timid person.
At the end of the book Meg is having a bad day at school, the principal is asking /meg about her father, and there's a hurricane, so she is very hot headed, and insecure. “It’s the weather on top of everything else, on tap of me.” (pg. 7)
This shows that Meg is having a bed day, and hates evaryone at the moment. This also shows that Meg is insecure, because she is saying basically that everything she's doing is wrong, and nothing's going right for her.
As she encounrers conflict Meg becomes scared beaause she doesn’t want to
