Are you the oldest child? If so, imagine you had to take care of your youngest sibling and had to have a job to pay bills. Imagine having to take responsibility of maintaining a household because your parents have died. Would you be able to handle that position and those responsibilities? or would you bail on your siblings? Well, in this book I read titled the "The Outsiders" a boy named Darry had to take care of his two young brothers, he had to work , pay bills , and he had to give up his college scholarship because he needed to take care of his brothers. Darry's personality was stern and serious, his role in the gang of greaser's was like the big brother since he was the oldest.
He didn't want them to go to a boy's home so he took the responsibility of getting a job and taking care of them. Darry was always serious and he had a weird way of showing Ponyboy he loved him but he did love him. Even though he didn't say it or express it he did love him and I knew this because he always told Ponyboy to stay out of trouble and to never walk home alone so he wouldn't get sent to a home. Darry mostly acted the way he did because of the death of his parents.That was the climax of Darry's life because once his parents died everything changed.He had stop his lifestyle so he could take care of his brothers so he had it
